What is today one of the most prestigious commercial buildings along the world renowned Seven Mile Beach corridor was once the first business boutique hotel in the Cayman Islands.
In the early 1980’s, the Grand Pavilion was a combination of 88 hotel guest rooms, four large suites, business suites and two restaurants. The largest of the hotel suites was named the “Royal Suite”, amply so, after the 1983 visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, when she chose that suite at the Grand Pavilion for her stay in the Cayman Islands. Later in the 1990’s, the Grand Pavilion was home to what many considered the finest restaurant on island: Ottmar’s. Needless to say, the Grand Pavilion has been and remains to be a grand landmark in the heart of Seven Mile Beach.
Spurred by the rapid growth in the offshore financial industry in the late 90’s, coupled with the recognition of its convenient location along the growing Seven Mile Beach corridor, its owners decided to convert the property into an exclusively commercial building.
The unique location and nature of the building, together with the strong reputation of the Thompson Group for management and customer service, led the building to be over 95% leased out prior to completion of the redevelopment, a high level of occupancy that has continuously been met or exceeded to this day. Providing top quality office space with first class management at the Grand Pavilion Commercial Centre has been at the cornerstone of the Thompson Group for more than twenty years.
The Grand Pavilion reflects its previous heritage as a hotel. In contrast to many of Cayman’s commercial office buildings, it is true to traditional Caymanian building and design values whilst having always been maintained to the highest standards. The Courtyard features a large swimming pool, waterfalls as well as ample deck space, patio furniture and lots of open space surrounded by lush landscaping to create a relaxing and laid-back environment.
Spread over only two stories is 70,000 square feet of Class A office space, comprised of four wings, each with their own entry and tasteful lobby.
The property is arranged around the open and delightfully landscaped central courtyard that provides an oasis from hectic business life for tenants. The courtyard features amenities such as a large swimming pool, waterfalls, as well as ample deck space, patio furniture, and a wealth of carefully tended tropical plants. The Courtyard is available to Tenants for corporate functions at no charge.
In addition to the substantial outdoor space in the courtyard, the Grand Pavilion also offers the use of the Reiss Room and The Boardroom.
Exclusively for tenant use, the Reiss Room is a conference room featuring boardroom seating for 22 and kitted out with WIFI, adjustable lighting and AV equipment. The Boardroom is a more intimate setting for smaller meetings. Whether you choose the courtyard setting for a formal corporate function, a quiet meeting or a quick lunch with a view or the Reiss Room for an official conference, the Grand Pavilion offers its tenants options that can only be found in places like Camana Bay.
